CHL playoffs: *sniffles*

Friday could very well mark the end of round one for my teams… which really isn’t great news because that means two of the four will be left standing *sniffles*

In short:

Last night, the Volts do what the Volts always do: stomp on the MAINEiacs. OKay, so it wasn’t a textbook stomping last night (and Coach SweaterVest not exactly jumping for joy) but the Volts won 5-1 and they can put the pesky team away tonight. If Adrien Lemay would be so kind as to do his best impression of a failtender tonight, I will be happy. I will also be happy if the Volts actually got their PP working because between them and the epic fail that is the Hammies’ PP, I’m going insane.

The Juniors went up 2-1 in the series after they kicked the not-sexy Olympiques. A win tonight and on Friday back in Montreal will see them through to the next round. I’m still not convinced that they can win this series in 5 games but obviously we’ll see tonight what’s going to happen :D

The Petes and IceDogs… I haven’t been able to give them a lot of attention but they’re both facing elimination tomorrow. Both teams have done admirably well. I’m particularly proud of the IceDogs for keeping all their games very close with the 67s. Last night’s loss in OT (after being 30 seconds from winning the game) was really, really tough (thanks for adding to my hockey misery last night, guys). Here’s hoping to win tomorrow for both teams =)
